Hi,

I got to use a friend's iPod last weekend and suddenly realise it's
what I need. I travel a lot in my car and abroad, it would be ideal to
carry my music. I am still ensure what to get for my requirement

1- I would like to find some skin/cases to protect it, and a
craddle/holder that are compatible so that I do not have to take the
ipod outside of its case everytime I want to copy music onto it.

I haven't been able to locate such thing yet, anybody knows of one?

2- I would like to fit my car (VW 2001 Polo with factory head unit and
no CD changer) with some similar setup so I can plug the ipod in before
I set of and play it thoug the car radio ssytem

I have found those, anybody know how they work exactly what is the
difference between the two?

VVGX001 is an audio input only. The icelink is also an audio input,
but also has iPod track control as well. We used to sell the latter,
but weren't especially impressed with the way in which they were made.
We now offer a similar alternative from Connects2. There are only a
couple of vehicle fitments on the site at the moment, but we can offer
a kit for the Polo if you wanted one.
