Advice on removing Mondeo radio

Hi,

6000 Radio/CD in Mondeo 2001 / Y

I've got the removal tool and can pull out the unit, but not far enough to
see round the back, let alone reach round and unplug anything. Something is
stopping it from coming out any further.

I'm a bit concerned about pulling any harder in case it unplugs the wires at
the risk of not being able to reconnect them without taking the dash apart.

Does anyone *know* if the cables are long enough to pull it completely out
of the dash and reach round the back without accidentally unplugging the
cables ?

Or do I have to dismantle part of the dash ?

Answering my own post:

The cables are long enough. I tried again and it came out no problems. I
don't know what was preventing it coming out the first time I tried.
