Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good car audio dealer in the Birmingham area
please? I'm looking for an mp3 CD player which can also play mp2 (mpeg 1
layer 2, a subset of layer 3) which shouldn't be a problem - but some
players want the filenames to end in "mp3" before they'll recognise
them. So it would be nice to visit a dealer and be able to try the test
CDRW that I've burned.
I'm considering Pioneer DEH-4700MP, Kenwood KDC-W4031 or anything up to
the 100 quid mark that will play the files. This is to replace a Ford
6000 CD RDS-EON so I don't really want to lose features (RDS,
traffic/news etc) if it can be helped.
I know I need a facia adaptor, and I think I need a harness adaptor
(autoleads PC2-08-4?) and a removal tool to get the old stereo out, so
fitting is an undecided issue for me. If it's a real pig to do I
wouldn't mind paying for someone to do it as long as it was competive.
Halfords quoted me £40 but I'd have to buy from them, which I am very
reluctant to do.
Any replies/advice appreciated!
Cheers,
Mike
