iv used knives but cant get it out there does not seem to be any holes
or slots on the side of radio,
i think its factory fitted because there is know name on it, its a vw
2001 passat.. can any one help cheers i dont want to damage anything,
but i dont want to pay £30 ..lol.

As for removing the Gamma unit there are two very narrow vertical slots
about 2cm in from each side of the units lcd. Simply cut an undused credit
card
(or similar) into two long 8mm strips and slide thse into the slots as far
as they will go. then simply hook your fingers in to the cassette opening
and slide the unit out - usually quite a tight fit with all the wiring
behind !
